The trick with ball pythons, is to make sure they have the proper environment. 92-94 hot side and 82-84 cool side. DO NOT let temps drop below 80. Two hides, one on each side. One week no touching. Attempt to feed. If they eat wait 48 hours (always wait 48 hours after a meal before handling), you could handle. You may want to wait until they have two meals in them, but you have to kinda use a judgement call. Oh and welcome to bp.net!! :D

tigerlily summed it up for ya right there. Just give it a week, try and feed, if it feeds fine with no problems, and you think it's doing fine, wait 48 hours after the feeding and then you can handle. Good Luck!

Hahahahaha! I'm just grateful I have Kashmire when my 2 (maybe 3) new girls get here later this month.

Although they're going to straight to the vet when they arrive for a wellness check since there's a 48 hour health guarantee on them, that handling will be very limited and then I'll get them settled in their respective tubs and gaze longingly at them! LOL

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news there Aleesha! I really am. If it makes you feel any better I had to wait 2 and a half weeks before I got to handle Norbert (my awesome pastel). YES THAT'S RIGHT!! The one visibile morph I have and I had to wait almost 3 weeks to handle him. It sucks, but I promise it's do-able. ;) (did I mention it SUCKED!! LOL!)
