Intested in making my own cages
Hello im wondering what does everyone use for wood for building enclosures and how do you water proof them and seal them. Im looking to build a nice cage for amazon and GTP but i want to make them either stacked or side by side. thanks Aaron

i used oak for my ball python zulu. im not sure what kinda wood they used for vanessa's cage. to make the cages waterproof what i did was take a piece of plexiglass and cut it to the exact same size as the floor of the cage and placed it in the bottom. for vanessa's the bottom of the cage wa built out of. . . ooh shoot i forgot the name. its the wood that coated with the whit stuff. does anybody know what thats called?

im wanting to also get my ballpython sexed so if i find a nice one at the show im going to pick it up. So im if you can build a cage that you can stack on each other for bp's. Also what do you use for heating wood cages.

for a baby gtp, a plastic tub is perfect. take a plastic coat hanger, cut out the straight pieces and make an x or cross shape and use this as a perch for them, for a larger one barrs are great cages and priced nice.
