    Shedding early
    Hey,

My two year old corn usually sheds every 50 to 60 days. He finished his last shed the 9th of April so about a month ago. Today I found him in his blue phase. He is shedding because his skin is that dull and familiar color it always is during shed. I even confirmed it by taking him out.

He is completely healthy and a normal weight. I haven't made any drastic changes in feeding or husbandry. He hasn't been acting out of character but I have noted that ever since his shed in April he's become more active.

Does anyone know if this is a cause for concern?

No reason for concern, & I wouldn't worry about it at all. Just like kids, snakes can have growth spurts too, & there's not any exact timing for when a snake needs to shed.

It's also true that a snake that's been injured will usually shed more frequently in order to make repairs to their body, but from what you've said, that's NOT the case here, & either way, shedding is a positive thing- it's healthy growth. So don't lose any sleep over this, okay? ;)
