    Grapewood Care
So I found the perfect piece of grapewood for my snake cage today- fits around the water dish, gets covered with the artificial foliage, and looks great. So since I want to keep it around (it was $30) question on care. Should I take it out now and seal it, then leave it for a few weeks before putting in. Anyone have a sealant that has worked for them ( I’ve seen water based poly, Beeswax, mineral oil) Has anyone had luck with Grapewood not getting nasty/mold in their enclosure?

Not on grapewood, but I used Varathane water-based poly on the branches in my snake's terrarium. It's been a year. So far, so good.
