    Pooping Machine
Anyone have a BP that just seems to poop way more than the others?

I've got a 4 month old BEL that I got along with 3 other snakes....same breeder and facility. The BEL poops like 2-3 times per week, and the others are once per week. She is eating fine, has had a full shed, and seems fine in general. Her poop has a bit more liquid in it than the others, but not a crazy amount.

Baby BPs will poop quite a bit. Older snakes eat more substantial meals and have a bit over a slower metabolism.

A four month old BP is still eating young rodents which means the animals are getting digested quicker. Some bps will grow faster than others which means a faster metabolism....and more poop.

    I have 3 siblings who are 3 radically different sizes. 210grams, 140grams and 60
grams. The biggest one is the biggest poop machine. He is always hungry and never misses a meal.

@ montagma- If you're comparing snakes of the same age & eating the same size prey though, it might be a good idea to have some fresh stool (from the "machine") looked at by your vet for parasites, but not all snakes will have identical metabolism anyway- it could just be individual differences. Besides being more "watery", another clue might be that it's more malodorous [if parasites are the issue].

i mean, comparative to all my other pythons my BP is v regular and i haven’t noticed them pooping in a higher frequency than the rest - i would consider what Bogsy says here
