Wood for enclosures setup.

Greetings!

I've been assembling my enclosure for my ball python and searching what kind of woods are safe for their enrichment. I know Cedar and pine are'nt safe. I'm using mango wood. Would like to know if it safe to use or are there any other kind of woods safe to use for them?

personally i only use hardwoods that i’ve collected from the mountains and have treated - like oaks, ash, poplar, birch, etc. - i live in Appalachia so idk what sorts of trees may be around you but basically avoiding soft woods, oily woods, etc is a good rule of thumb (as is sterilizing everything you borrow from the wilds)

I think it's difficult to find those kinds here in the Philippines. I guess it's safe to say Mango wood is okay since it's considered a hardwood but the only thing is after cleaning it thoroughly and Sterilizing it, there's still a woody scent like. Would it cause RI to the snake?
