    I got these fish 3-4 years ago with that neglected ball python. Moved them downstairs and added some dither fish. Not a fish I ever would have chosen but easy keepers and fun to watch. I need to pick up some fake plants, they destroy any live ones I've tried.

    They look great. They're personable little guys.

    It's always frustrating trying to keep live plants with cichlids. I've seen some large anubias work sometimes.... But they're usually plants someone has cultivated for a very long time and very expensive to take a chance on.
