    Best online order feeders?
What are the best/most reputable places to order feeder mice online that isn’t exorbitantly expensive? Also, what is PetCo’s reputation for feeder mice? Asking genuinely, I moved recently and haven’t been able to make the trip to my usual feeder supply store.

Petco's reputation for feeders isn't good, but keep in mind that in a large chain like Petco, their suppliers will vary by region, so your experience may be very different from someone else's.

Just to be clear, I don't buy rodents- I raise my own & have for decades, literally. But ones I've seen people post positively about are these, not in any particular order:
    https://perfectprey.com/
    https://bigcheeserodents.com/
    http://www.coldbloodedcafe.com/
    https://www.rodentpro.com/categories/frozen-foods/rats
    https://www.laynelabs.com/product/frozen-rats/

    https://therodentbarn.com/

Buying online WILL be expensive if you're only feeding one or only a few snakes- because while the rodent prices are quite good, you have to factor in the cost of shipping an order fast & on ice- and that's what makes them expensive, unless you buy enough to last a while, like 6 mos. to a year.

Check the locations for the above sources- most allow local pick-up, so if you happen to be close enough, that would be a way around the cost of shipping. IF you're lucky enough to be able to pick them up locally, be sure to transport in an ice chest & on ice. Any delay in your travel could cause melting & spoilage, especially this hot weather.

If you don't need many rodents, try asking around- there may be someone breeding their own nearby that can supply you a few, OR, there may be another snake-keeper you could split an online order with.

Thank you so much! I’ll be sure to check these sites out and see if I can find some other supply stores in nearby cities. Worst comes to worst, I can always make a day out of picking some feeders up from the old place.

I’ve been ordering from Cold Blooded Cafe the last several years. 100% happy with them!

Although the cost of shipping is high, it still is usually cheaper per feeder than buying from a chain pet store.

Also look for reptile shows in your area. Many times there will be a vendor there with feeders.

I've been ordering from rodentpro. I personally haven't had an issue but I have heard of some customers having issues with the packing and rats being pressed against the dry ice too long.

I use big cheese and perfect prey regularly and I am very satisfied. One of the reasons I like them is the bags come sealed. An open bag of rodents is only good for about 6 months, but a sealed bag, kept in the freezer and frozen the whole time, can last 1-2 years.

Another reason you might like perfect prey is they offer smaller packs as an option. If you have a small collection, or one snake even, you are paying more per rodent, but getting the bags sealed the same. This means you can order a 1-2 year supply instead of a 6 month supply and potentially waste some prey.

I cannot comment on the other suppliers, but that doesn't mean they are good or bad. I just haven't used them to know.

I've bought from Reptile Deli, RodentPro and Petco. No complaints.
