how long to handle after fed
just wondering how long i should wait to handle my bp after he/she eats. I used to wait 2 days on my girl- being the first i was just taking precautions. BUT having had her for a while i just wait 1-2 days depending on the meal, and you never know and for a baby, referring to my new guy, you def dont want a regurg.

You seem to be answering your own question. Anyway, I agree, wait for at least a day, & preferably 2 after a snake eats before you handle. Especially with larger meals- but it also depends on what you mean by "handling" & how calm YOUR snake is.

Snakes that you've had for quite a while that aren't nervous, that helps, but you still don't want to be mushing their midsection or tilting their heads downward, or having them climb (hang onto) things. But I'd have no problem with gently picking up a snake, keeping it calm & level, cuddling it to me or putting it into a side container if I had to clean their home, for example. But no "gymnastics" while they're digesting. ;) It would be advisable to wait longer if you have a very fearful & active snake (which most BPs are not), so it also depends on what kind of snake, IMO.
