Anyone else's BP love soft things?
My male loves soft fabric - if I let him roam around he inevitably makes for the dog's bed, my bed, or any clean laundry and snuggles in for a nap. I got him some fleecey hides and things intended for sugar gliders and after an initial daylight inspection he crawled right in and wouldn't come out for over 2 hours, just snuggling the fabric. I wouldn't have thought they could feel the difference with their scales but I've tried him on different surfaces and things and he consistently goes nuts for anything fleecey!

Ah, the voice of experience! :P But you're right- do check for any "fullness" above their cloaca before handling, & if the coast seems clear, cross your fingers anyway. :please:

When I had a large BCI & wanted to clean her home, she loved going into the soft-sided "small dog carrier" that I have- I put a thick towel in it & it made a very cozy 'cave' with built-in ventilation. Much like your sleeping bag...:D

Oh man I didn't even consider the big guys, that's even cuter somehow.
As for the poop/pee, he tends to go in the same corner, and I picked rodent and sugar glider gear because it's washable - I assume rodents go to the bathroom on their things too. I'm hoping to get him into a taller tub with climbing opportunities soon, and since most of this stuff is meant to be suspended it'll be even safer up off the ground I think (once it's modified to take his weight of course - I don't know much about sugar gliders but something tells me they generally aren't pushing 450g). Then he can chill in his hammocks and things. I just didn't want to change things up on him too much right now - maybe once it's warm out and he's eating again (hopefully!).

Big snakes need snuggles too! :D I think ALL snakes are cute when they're getting their "cozy" on- and seeing their approval when we fix their homes up right is pretty satisfying.
