Why is my BP always so limp when I hold her?
Whenever I hold my BP, she makes almost zero effort to make any sort of grip. She'll sometimes wrap her tail around a finger, but for the most part she doesn't hold on. When my boyfriend holds her, she always wraps completely around his hand/wrist and is generally a lot more active.

I do hold her a bit more often than he does. I just worry *a little* since I've read that poor grip can mean poor muscle tone, but I've also read that it could mean the snake is just comfortable with you. I want to think she's just comfortable with me because I think she falls asleep on me too. She almost always eventually stretches out on my lap and stops moving/tongue flicking.

So, is she a happy couch potato, or should I keep poor muscle tone on my mind?

I doubt you have anything to worry about.

My male is like that, I think even though he's strong enough to be a good climber he just doesn't have good sense around things like "gravity" and "the consequences of his actions" because he regularly just lets go at inopportune moments. I've seen him casually flop off the arm of the couch onto the floor without seeming to register that maybe that's not a smart thing to do :confuzd:
