New smaller male to old big female... Problems??
This may be a stupid question but...

Have any of you experienced a female being too big for a male?? my male 20' ODYB pied is around 550 grams... pretty consistent feeder unless he's in deep shed.

I'm looking to pair him with my female enchi het pied that is 2600+ at the start of Nov. I'm only paring to him to her this year and wanna just pair once a month so not worried about over breeding him. Just curious if anyone had problems with a younger and smaller male with big ole girl?

    Thanks in advance

Other than normal issues you will have with a virgin and small male, it should work just fine. I've done 500g to a >4000g female. Biggest thing is making sure he doesn't start fasting and discontinuing pairing if he does, and making sure to give him plenty of rest time between pairing. 550g male does cannot afford to fast AND breed, it will kill him.

The only problem you can run into is him not being interested yet. I have a ‘20 Pastel Leopard Clown who isn’t ready yet and he’s at 680g

I put a 500g male with my 4000g female and it took him a few tries but he's locked her 2 or 3 times now and I thought for sure the size difference would be a problem but it wasn't
