    Enclosure size help
So I ordered an enclosure. And just found out it could take up to 3 months. I was planning on getting another one right now so they can be sent together as I'm getting another BP by then. Is there a huge difference between 36 x 12 x 16 and 36 x 18 x 16 when it comes to controlling humidity. And will a ball python be using that extra 6 inches in width?

There shouldn't be a big difference in humidity- the humidity is mostly controlled by the amount of air-flow (amount of ventilation) combined with your choice of substrate (some hold humidity much better than others). Personally I'd go with 18" wide- because 12" is vary narrow for a wide-bodied snake to turn around in, especially when you have hides (2- one cool side & one warm side) plus a water bowl in there too, at the very least. (Many people add other decor too.)

I agree that you should go with the 18 deep if you can. I have both 48x24 and 36x18 enclosures... and I can tell you the difference from the 24 to 18 is extremely useful for the snake... especially a wider-bodied snake.

Humidity should be the same on both.

Thank you. That's which way I was leaning. Thanks again. Ordered it.
