    Pricing question.
I've been wanting to get a Red Tail Boa for a while now and a local store near me is holding a going out of business sale. They have a beautiful juvinile Keywest Columbian Red Tail Boa for sale. Normal price is $300 but with a 35% sale price puts it at basically $200 (tho he did say that everyday that it doesn't sell the discount will be greater).

Just wondering, as I haven't done a lot of shopping for this particular type of snake yet, how fair of a price this is.

I am not familiar with that morph but it appears to be a good discount given what they are going for on MM

If I were in the market I would grab it. Bear in mind anything you buy online will also have $50-75 shipping added to it.

    Store is closing, offer $100.

Me, go to an Expo an look up all the breeders/dealers before you go. Take cash an make offers.

    Short story.

One of the kids wanted his own snake. He was spending his own cash, so another BP or corn was fine with me.

Dealer sold a $300 hatchling for $40 (what the kid had) because it's "his" first snake.:O

I'd stall a bit & then make an offer, but even his current sale price sounds fair to me as well. Not even remotely in the market, but just saying. If you snooze too long though, someone may beat you to it- just depends how badly you want this one. Personally I'd check closely for mites first.
