Herpstat Question... 1 Herpstat 6 or 3 Herpstat 2??

Working on building a 3 stack setup.

These will be 3 Exo-Terra 36x18x18 (although this will apply to the 3 stack AP enclosure that's next)

Each enclosure will have belly heat and a Radiant heat panel in them

Should I use a Herpstat 6 to control the 3 RHP's and 3 belly heat pads or 3 Herpstat 2's??

Obviously The 3 Herpstat 2 will cost more than 1 Herpstat 6,

If the Herpstat 6 goes out I lose all heating in all enclosures, If I have 3 Herpstat 2, I might lose 1 enclosure but the other 2 will be fine (theoretically)

I can always swap a probe plug from the dead Herpstat to a good Herpstat to keep one source of heat going in two enclosures until the issue is fixed. (if that makes sense)

On my stack all the RHPs and UTH is the same so I have the RHPs and UTHs plugged into their own power strip and then into one outlet on my Herpstat. I have the probe mounted on the middle cage. Doing that I can run the six items using only two spots of the tstat.

That's using a Herpstat 4. So I can still run my rack and another cage.

I like the herpstat 2s best because you can always see the exact temp reading I don't think that the 4 or 6 show individual temp readings on the display. If it were me I'd probably spring for multiple 2's just for the option to walk by and see it's exact reading. Any should be just as good just like seeing the exact temp reading when I look at the Stat. All personal preference though.

Oh cool, mybad. I thought that I'd seen a review on them before and they didn't. I may have to get a 4 for my next rack then. Thanks for clarifying 👍
