How do you clean up your big enclosures?

Hello everyone, i'm back with another thread. This time it's just a question out of pure curiosity, cause i keep seeing those big enclosures with a big amount of naturalistic decorations for their BP or any other snake and just reptile in general. So i wonder.. How do you disinfect all of that? Are you even required to? And even if you don't have to clean up each little thing, it looks like a struggle to scoop out the substrate to change it.. This question may sound dumb but i really wonder how you clean up all of that

Remove snake from enclosure place in plastic tote with a hide,.

Remove all stuff first place into hot water to soak.

Remove substrate, then use vacume to remove small particles.

Wipe down with a damp cloth to remove any dirt.

Then spray all inside with reptile safe disinfected and wipe down.

Remove soaking stuff spray down with same as before and wipe and rinse. Use a clean towel to dry as much as can.

Replace substrate from my premixed tub.

Put stuff back in.

Put snake back and watch confusion as smells different.

My iguana has a big custom enclosure, although he has shelves with blankets clipped to them rather than substrate and cage furniture. I can just clean his blankets and other soft things in the wash. He will sometimes poo on the floor or on one of his shelves, so I will just spot-disinfect with chlorhexidine while cursing him. I do vacuum it, though, at least once a week, because little dried bits of greens and stuff end up strewn around.

Thanks for the answer, very cool enclosure btw!

Also never use bleach, always cleaning products made specifically for reptiles. House hold cleaners can kill or leave your reptile friends with neorlogical malfunctions
