    Regular banana?
Hello! My daughter just picked up this new boy at a reptile expo this weekend. The people that were selling them were not the breeders and didn’t know much about him. Just thought I would see if anyone thinks he has anything else or if he looks like a normal banana. She is still trying to come up with a name so if you have any suggestions let me know!

    Thanks

    Snagrio
I'm no expert, but I have a banana myself and it looks like yours is just a banana as well. I'm sure others more experienced folks will chime in soon though.

And a little tip in case you're unfamiliar, bananas have a trait where they develop "freckles" all over their body as they age, and many owners confuse them for snake mites. You'll be able to tell the difference as the spots have no texture and don't move around. Here's an image of my own snake to give you an idea of what to expect.

Conversely, here's what the mites look like on a snake. Generally they tend to congregate at the vent, the eyes and the crevices on the underside of the head, so keep a close watch on those places if you get worried about parasites when freckles start to come in.

As for name suggestions, Pudding would be an amusing choice because bananas really do look like a pile of pudding when sitting in your hands. :P
