    BCI age full grown?
I have a male hypo BCI who is 4 years old now. I've seen various posts stating different things regarding age vs. size in BCI boas. So I figured I would ask the forum members who have kept more boas longer than I have about this. My boa, he is roughly 5 and a half feet long at 4 years of age. Is it reasonable to expect this to be about his full grown size? I realize boas have indeterminate growth and can still grow a little (albeit slowly) throughout their lives. But I've seen information stating that boas put on size up until ages 3, 4, even up to 6 years?

He probably is full grown grown now at that age, they still keep growing bit very slowly after 4, most of my adult males boas are from 4 ft - 5.5ft

Thanks for the reply Richard! I'm looking at various options for possibly upgrading the size of his enclosure, which is why I was asking. His current enclosure is 48 inches long, 18 inches deep, and 20 inches tall. But I think something a bit larger would be better now.

try to get an enclosure that's at least 6-8 feet long (so he has room to grow) and at least 2-4 feet high (boas like height) and 2-4 feet in width. You can buy some pvc enclosures in these sizes or just build your own. Its really up to you what's within your budget and what's reasonable for the amount of space/snake you have.

I only have experience with one BCI, a female, and she did a lot of growing after 4 years of age. Best I recall, she did a lot of growing between 4 & 7 years, & she ended up over 7.5' long. ;)

At least with a male, he should stay smaller, with much depending on locale & individual genetics, & of course, available food (which is not usually an issue for most of us here, lol).
