    Advanced wiring
    Hello,

I have four sets of racks. Two ARS70 rack and Two 28qt racks. I built them all myself from pvc as I'm a contractor/GC. Ive been in residential for 15 years so i know my electrical but not when it comes to low voltage like this. I have THG 4" heat tape in all my racks and i wanted to splice everything together so i only used two ports of my herpstat 4. Im well below my watt per L/FT. I purchased some 16/2 wire to run it into the thermostat however do I need to worry about losing wattage draw over a farther distance. I dont want to put unnecessary stress on my thermostat but i built the room to this specific design with the thoughts that later on i could run most of my racks to a single thermostat. The trade off is the furthest rack would of coursr have the longest thermostat wire (at max 12'). Thoughts? How do the big manufactures wire their racks up? All plugs into a power bar then into a thermostat?

    Thanks in advance.
