how to tell if eyes are still caped

Hello im wondering how do you tell if royals don't shed there eye caps?

I don't know if this is the best way to tell but, Kaa had shed once where he still retained an eyecap and it was pretty obvious because the one eye was cloudy and the other was clear. The eye retained that blueish white color that BP's get prior to and during a shed.

One simple way is just to look at the shed. If the caps are still on the shed, then they're not on the snake! Of course it's usually pretty hard to miss just looking at them. ;)
