Stupid NewB question

I've try to figure it out on my own but i just cant. What do the numbres some people put before there snake mean. Like 0.1 BP and 1.0. Sorry for the stupid question. Thanks

0.1 means 1 female no males, 1.0 means 1 male no females, 0.0.1 mean 1 unknown sex

those numbers are references to the ratio of male to female units. so 1.0 BP would mean 1 male bp and no female. or 1.1 would mean one of each. sometimes you sill see a third number and that represents a unit of unknown sex. so 1.2 Ball python, 0.1 dog, and 1.0.1 BCI would mean 1 male Ball python and 2 females. one female dog. 1 male BCI and one BCI of unknown sex.
