    How do they digest...
when they do not have heat provided like most reptiles? I was under the impression that all reptiles needed heat to digest- apparently not, but still, how?

Today my little one looks as if it is starting to gain a little weight and he/she does not appear as thin as when brought home. The little booger is eating well, every morning you can see little divets or lick marks in the cap I provide his/her food in.

They don't eat a lot, huh? I don't have an answer to that though. Mine are gaining weight slowly, but surely. My smallest one seems to be eating but is still scrawny.

Well that's good. Save for the first time I provided CGD, I haven't seen any indications of Zeppelin eating his at all anymore :( I just rely on crickets dusted with calcium / vitamins now, with the occasional CGD. At least I know he eats the crix...

That's weird, mine only eat the CGD and the crix just bounce around. Huh, go figure.

if their enclosure is sizeable they might just not be finding and/or catching the crickets. babies aren't that great of hunters so sometimes it is helpful for them to be in a smaller enclosure if you want them to eat crickets.

they will eat more if you keep them warmer like upper 70's to 80. in their native environment temps can be in the low 60's and 70's alot of the time.
