Advice with Palpatating Bps to see if preggers or pooping

Hey guys n gals. Just as funny as it sounds, id like your take on checking your snakes with your hands to see if the hard lumps your feeling are the follicles growing or just a bunch of backed up poops. Also, when preggoz will they slow down on defacating and such?
My yellow belly girl has been locking a few times over the past couple months with my YB male tho its late season for pairing, and she's definitely the right size and age for it. But when I'm feeling her underside I just can't tell if it's a long bunch if backed up poop cuz she hasn't been going properly for a few months, or maybe she's got growing follicles. I just want to make sure I handle and treat her accordingly as I don't want to stress her out too much
