    Pretty BP. I trust you're aware that when snakes soak, it sometimes means they're suffering from mites, & since this is a "new addition", I'd suggest keeping him on white paper towels (so mites can't hide in the substrate) and checking thoroughly for mites for the next few weeks just in case. I don't mean to sound like "Debby-Downer", but I'd also be remiss for not mentioning it. (We tend to put snake's well-being first around here & I'll be truly happy if wrong about that. ;) )

    Yes I'm aware I thoroughly checked him and continue to keep close eyes on him. He also wasn't in there for very long and is from a reliable source. I will definitely do that though if I see anything I appreciate the concern.

    Some snakes just have their own reasons for soaking anyway ;)...like never having seen a bowl big enough, or using it for a "hide", or even mild dehydration from shipping etc.
