    BP spits out food
Adult male BP eating adult live mice. The last thee to four times I fed him, he struck and wrapped eagerly. Then, at about the point where the head is down his throat, he spits it out and abandons his meal. He has a history of RI but has been good for over a year now. Any Ideas?

I'd try a hopper & see if he takes it. But otherwise, :confusd: How often are you feeding him? Maybe he needs more time between his meals- he's trying to tell you it's too much food? But from your description, he hasn't taken any food for a while, so perhaps this is just a late winter fast?

I've had snakes do that before (in the distant past), but unfortunately they never told me why they did it. ;)

I am feeding about every 10 days. Actually only my hognose is eating right now. So maybe it is a winter fast?
