i have a quick question about posting

when i enter a thread it does not let me post any attachments.. on my posting rules it says i may not post attachments do i have to get a admin to turn on the feature.. Im sorry for the dumb post but i dont know what else to do

depending on our user group permissions we may or may not be allowed to actually upload "attatchments". The easiest thing to do is use a free host or temp picture hosting site and then use the BB or html to display it in a post.

say you upload your picture to http://www.freepichost.com (made up name)

and your image name is myimage.jpg


your BB/html code in post would look like this:

make sure you end your closing img tag with a bracket...I had to leave it out so you could actually see it and the board doesn't think I'm really trying to show an image: it should end with [/img]

You can always post it in your gallery (here) and use the bbcode it provides to link to that picture as well.
