Hello i've been looking around and i think i like the new EUROPEAN DESIGN

    12"x12"x18" $49.99 SHIPPING $14.99

    18"x18"x18" $69.99 SHIPPING $19.99
18"x18"x24" $99.99 SHIPPING $24.99 I don't think any of these is a good size so i might have to scratch that idea out. But input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Aaron

Are these cages a good size and do they work well for these snakes?

ummm....tree boas can get 8' long and those cages are ok for dart frogs. I think you should look bigger.......much bigger.

alot of arboreals do well in 2x2x2 sized cages. maybe 3x2x2 if it is a large one. check out barrs at www.herpcages.com they have nice cages at good prices. animal plastics, visons, and boaphiles are good too. i use a vision 222 for my chondro, no problems. it is also kept in a climate controlled room so temps/humidity aren't a problem.

Im not worried about the prize i just want to get him into a enclosure so i can view him at night instead of the Tub i have him in now. I want a good size but not to big so the temps and Humidity is good.

if the tree boa is not a huge one, a 20 inch cage would work. most of the time he's going to be wrapped up on something any way. the 24 inch wide one would give a little more thermal gradient from side to side. i use ceramic heat emitters on arboreals, they work great. you can arrange the perches/branches to give him different spots to bask. the barrs you can get with 2 perches that allows them to choose where they want. always use a thermomstat, they really work!
