    New owner, New to site!
I have been a member of this site for about three days now and I have really enjoyed looking through all the pictures, and the vast amount of information that you all have! Thank you! Today I brought home my first Ball Python and I am very excited. I have an under the tank heater, a 75watt light, a larg water dish, one hide box(for now) and a digital hydrometer, and thermometer in one. I am using this jungle bark/dirt stuff for bedding I bought from the pet store. Is there anything I am missing, or could add to help me, or my new Bp? Any input would be greatly valued!
    Thanx!
    Zach

Hi there :) I'm still relatively new here myself.

I posted a message under one of your messages further up the page (I hadn't gotten to this one yet) talking about two hide boxes - I see now you intend to get another anyway - so, sorry bout that ;) - anyways, have fun here - the people are really nice and friendly with lots of really good advice - don't know what I would have done without them!

Yes everyone so far has been great, and I would agree this is an awsome site! Today I fed Justice for the first time! I put the mouse in a plastic bin, then I held Justice for just a few min,(I know I am not really supposed to be holding him yet and I have been pretty good I promise) and put him in the bin also. He circled the bin like a shark and went right up to the little mouse and just tagged it, and swallowed it down! It went perfect! I put him back in his cage after a couple of min to let his meal seattle, he streached out for a while and then retreated to his hide. He is just too cool!

Congrats on the feed! Now just remember ABSOLUTELY no handling for 48 hours!

Oh and Cujo, don't feel bad. That exactly how I felt when I joined. ;) I though I had the research down, but with so much variety in the information available I kinda just took it all in and averaged it out. So I was slightly off when I got started, but with the advice on this forum I got straightened out in no time. :D
