joining the elite LAPD

starting january, i will be attending police academy for the Los angeles police department for the next 8 months. training up right now, so wish me luck please!

Congrats on your acceptance into the police academy! I have been a police officer in Northwest Ohio for just over nine years now and it's a great job. Each and every day will bring new experiances, some funny, some sad and some that will scare the life out of you, but I promise this, it will never be boring.

My husband has been on for the past 2 years and he loves it. There's good days and bad days (and yes, funny and sad ones too). Be safe and good luck!

Congrats! I used to be a police dispatcher so that either means I have a sense of the career you are entering OR....I know how to tell ya where to go LOL :P

Just remember it's not the uniform that makes the man, it's what the man makes out of the uniform while he's priviliged to wear it.
