Is this poop or vomit?

It’s just brown but it’s mostly just fur, is that normal for it to be mostly fur. It smells like poop but it isn’t like a smell that you can smell from far away but more like just a few inches away.

Definitely sounds like regurgitation to me.


Usually that happens when either the meal is too big, or there is too little heat to regulate digestion.

I thought regurgitation was of part or whole mice it looks like normal poop but it just has a small clump of fur, just brown ish fur in it when I looked in it. Oh god regurgitation is a sign of ibd. I thought fur was a normal thing because they don’t digest it like everything else and some say claws are also a normal thing but it’s never been claws. Plus I though regurgitation happened no more than 2 days after eating and she ate on Thursday. It also had some white urates with it looked like too.

It’s was also just a small clump of hair like a hair ball a cat would throw up but very small. And it was also mixed into the, what looks like, poop

If you looked at the photo you would see that it is more like poop because of the brown and stuff. I wouldn’t have even noticed the hair if I don’t smash it. I thought regurgitation was at least half the mouse and with saliva and juices. This came in what looks to me like poop. Is it just me or is that poop and not vomit?

The smell of the regurge would just be absolutely disgusting, trust me

You can sometimes see hair/fur (etc) in their feces. And like Richard said, a regurge is an unforgettably gross smell, so this has to be "poo". Not to worry. "...it happens..." :D

I thought so but someone told me that it’s regurgitating if it’s mostly hair and it’s mostly hair, well it has two clumps of hair and that’s all it is. It was never really smelly it but it must have been a little old because it was really cold. I thought regurgitation looked like a mouse or body parts of a mouse, plus it would probably be pretty hard to not notice a regurgitated large mouse. It’s okay if it has clumps of just hair but nothing else right?
