New female BP attitude

I'm still relatively new to BP keeping, I got my first guy in early August and decided I wanted a female as well. I got her about a week ago and the shipment was delayed a full day so the poor thing was in the shipping box for almost a full 48 hours. When I unboxed her she was already hissing at me - understandable I would be cranky too if I was stuck like that. She tagged me good when I was inspecting her for health issues so I put her in her set up and left her alone. Every time I've checked inside the tank (it's a black plastic tub with a locking lid, so I can not see inside it without opening the lid) to change the water or check on the humidity she always has an attitude. Is that just a female BP thing? is that just her personality? My guy has never hissed at me once and I was handling him after the first week. Should I just give her more time to adjust. It's been a week now and I am going to attempt to feed for the first time tomorrow, but I haven't handled her yet. I would like to inspect her better before I feed her. Her setup is good (UTH with thermostat set to 90) humidity at 70% (Ik it's a little high for a BP but I live in Texas and the plastic has retained more than I expected). Anyone have advice, is this normal behavior or is she just mean

Some need more time to adjust than others, & it's def not just a "female" thing. All snakes have their own personality, & some are more feisty than others too. Not much you can do but be patient & hope she improves. I don't think the long shipping time helped either. I've had several female BPs & none were cranky at all.

I may have got the wrong end of the stick here .. so apologies in advance.

Is she now in a completely dark container ? You mentioned an all black tub or something... they do need light .

I’d say she that she needs/ deserves a week to ten days to recover from that 48 hr trip in complete darkness

sorry I should've clarified, the sides of the container are black and the lid is an frosted clear with holes drilled into it, I don't have a light directly on her but she should be getting ambient light inside the setup, I could hang a light directly over her if that will help help settle in, this setup is temporary too, I am building a custom setup but was waiting till it was done and she was a little older
