The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
Had to share these pics! It's pretty normal for Orlah to be out on our laps and all as she's a very relaxed lady snake but this was Brannagh's first time! She's been out for handling before but always had to be kept under control (gloves). We decided since she's been pretty good lately to let her try a bit of freedom on the couch and the snake's favorite lounging spot...our rattan coffee table.
Brann did so well! She never tried to bite or strike and was reasonably okay. She's certainly not relaxed like Orlah but she did get a bit of exercise and wasn't obviously aggressive. I'm sooooooo pleased! Oh and she "discovered" TV....apparently Brannagh found Law & Order:SVU very fascinating LOL.

Re: The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
She seems quite mesmerized by the tube! Good taste in shows too. ;)
Re: The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
LOL thanks Shelby. We watch it everytime Tuesday night come hell or high water as well as the original Law & Order re-runs (god bless you, Jerry Orbach).
It was kind of funny, I don't know if something caught her attention or what but Brann suddenly lifted her head and just stared fascinated at the show for quite awhile. Nice of her since I needed to run get the cam and all LOL.
They were both out seperately for about 20 minutes or so. Nice time had by all!

Nice pics there Joanna. I'm glad to hear Brannagh is taking baby steps towards being less aggressive. Every little bit helps, and who knows someday maybe she'll be picking a favorite hockey team too. (Go Capitals! lol)
Re: The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
Thanks Christie, we're really pleased at her growing acceptance of us. She's definitely taught us a lot about patience and handling a less than laid back snake LOL.
We'll just keep at it with her slowly, trying to find the line that allows us to safely handle her and get her out for a bit but doesn't push her so fast that she retreats back to the highly aggressive snake she was when we first got her.
Go Capitals!...baaaaaaaaaah! Go Wings! Go Wings!

Re: The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
Scuse me darlin but you are talking to a woman who managed to get to the hospital, give birth to her 4th child (w/o drugs I might add) and get back home with the new baby in between the Saturday evening Wings game and the Monday evening Wings game! Hey it was the playoffs!!!!!! :winner:

Re: The Big Girls & Their Evening Out
What lovely girls they are :)
I think I'm partial to Brannagh, but they both look so healthy. You can definitly tell they are well cared for.
I grew up in MI, was a die hard Wings fan, then I moved to Tampa and the same year Lightening got the cup. lol
