    reflectix ?...ambient temps
ok, here are my temps, 77-79 ambient, 81-82 cool side hide, 92-94 hot side hide. My question is this, would putting some reflectix on the top of the tub, or on the sides, or both help me bump that ambient just a little. Should I worry about getting the ambient up? (the caresheet on this site says 80ish, but just not to let it fall below 75; that can't happen, the room temp is 77). I have read over and over in the forums that 82 is about perfect ambient, and I trust what you all say. I'm close to having it just perfect without a secondary heat source, and I would like to keep it that way. Will that reflectix bumb the ambient enough? The snake seems healthier and happier than he ever did in his aquarium. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If you have some nice heavy duty aluminum foil, try putting that in place of the reflectix. If you notice an increase in your temps, then the reflectix will probably work perfect. Of course the foil may be enough too. Just a thought....

The reflectix if different than aluminum foil. It has a iddle layer that traps heat. Than another layer that blocks it from going back out.. It reflects..lol.. Shiny too..lol
