Selling and exporting ball pythons (from Canada to the US)

Hi!

I'm a snake owner who's looking into breeding ball pythons in the next few years, and I know that the US has a larger market for reptiles, so my goal would be to sell some of my snakes to the US. I've seen that a lot of Canadian breeders use Reptile Express for shipments from Canada to the US, but the price to ship a ball python (which is a CITES animal) internationally through their service is very expensive. I know that it's possible to ship ball pythons by yourself using one of their shipping labels, but is this actually cheaper/more convenient than using Reptile Express?
