Feeding Schedule Question

Quick question of feeding schedule,

Bean & Bitey the 2 unwanteds I got last year weighed about 75 grams....

Now they are around the 400+ gram weight,

I've been feeding them Weaned rats in the 42g to 49g weight on a weekly schedule

Is it ok to switch to an every other week schedule to match up with the rest of my crew or should I keep them on a weekly schedule?

Right now they are both voracious eaters, and will instantly hit and wrap the rats.

For me it would boil to whether or not I had any other snakes that are on weaned rats. If not I would keep these two on a weekly schedule until the weaned rats are gone, then bump them to small rats on a two week schedule. If I had something else eating weaned rats I would put them on a two week schedule now, feeding small rats.

Thanks for the advice, I have a quite a few weaned rats in the freezer, and the only other one that eats them is Hal,

I've had him for almost 2 years now, and he is an extremely picky eater, I can get him to eat a weaned about every other week with out refusing, but
.
He's about 800g so he seems to be doing good on those terms.

After the weaned are gone I'm going to try to up him to small rats too.

If you bulk order small rats you usually get a range of sizes. I'd separate out the smaller ones for Hal and feed the rest to the garbage disposals.

That will work out well as I have another BP eating smalls along with my BI Boa,

The only one of the crew that will not eat smalls is Sicle the Cornsnake, as he's on adult mice.

Hi, I got a baby Albino python and he is not eating. He was last fed on the third from the breeder. Is it from new surroundings or have to recover from shipping, I live in Clearwater FL and breeder lives in Miami which is not a long trip, was it too soon to feed? Please help

We’d need far more info on the snake and your set up BUT my initial thoughts are it just needs a few more days to settle in .

No handling or messing with the viv / tub until it’s had a few feeds ..

My two cents:
-In the wild, food is scarce. Like most creatures, the default behavior is to eat whatever you can, whenever you can. This is especially true, in times of scarcity.

Your snakes will be fine with bi-weekly feedings. Your snakes will also become happily obese if you let them.
