Have you ever had this happen?
Whoa! I fed Hidaya Tuesday evening so I've left him alone for a few days and tonight decided to handle him a bit so he doesn't forget me ;)

He was curled up in my hands and checking things out like normal and then a fly buzzed passed and he struck at it! lol I don't know if he was hungry, startled, or just being pissy. Then he yawned cutely. He's so beautiful and so adorable I don't know how anyone could not like these creatures.

Oh how cute! Maybe he was just reacting instinctively to the movement or heck maybe he thought in his lil snakey brain..."hey...FREE PROTEIN!" lol

Glad to hear Hidaya is eating well and taking to handling. By the way, very nice name, does it have a particular meaning and how is it properly pronounced?

Hidaya means "gift" in Swahili (one of the languages of west africa). And, I've been pronouncing it Hi-day-uh. Though hubby has already taken to calling him hyde.

I sometimes forget myself and refer to Rauri, the BCI, as *mumbles* Ro Ro.....

This of course drives my husband Mike nuts!!! I then get the lecture about how Rauri is a large, male BCI and Ro Ro is a silly baby name and *at this point I usually zone out*........ :D
