Male vs female

I have a male and female pastel BP they are both 500g. I'm looking to make my collection smaller so I'm going to get rid of one. In the future I am hoping to try breeding BP. Which one should I keep the male or female?

Keep the female.

It takes females longer to grow up to size before they can be bred so grow her up properly and then find the male you want to move your projects forward

I’d keep the female and save my money for a year or two to get the best male I could afford. Males cost less than females so you can pick up more genes for your money. Your male should add value to the clutch. A single gene pastel male really doesn’t add do that. When your female is around 1000 grams you can shop for a nice male to pair with her.

The one that take longer to grow to sexual maturity and the one that lays eggs.
