    Weight After Shed
Just curious if anyone else notices their BP lose a decent amount of weight after a shed. I just had a snake go from 900 grams to 800 grams after a shed and she had one of the biggest turds I've ever seen lol. So far I've had 2 snakes lose about 100 grams post shed and have massive turds. Not sure if it's from over feeding them or not but I stay within the 15% of the snakes body weight in prey item rule.

Definitely not unusual. Many have a tendency to hold back a lot of waste and eliminate it all at once, often after a shed.

Yep. I have a BP that always leaves a monster dump right in the middle of her sheds. Every time. lol

I currently have 26 ball pythons. I can definitely confirm they hold waste until they shed. The theory behind this is, in the wild, they shed and eliminate all of their waste, then move on to a new termite mound or hiding place. This allows them to leave any heavily scents behind, since this would deter prey from passing through/by their hide.
