Female laid one slug, 8 hours and still no progress
I've got a first-season Super Fire female that's not progressing. This morning, she laid a slug (I left it there, don't worry). She has been pacing her bin like crazy, but has otherwise made no progress. She 100% has more eggs in her.... she's so lumpy I could pass her off as a living sack of potatoes. It's been 8 hours, and she hasn't even made an effort at laying more. Should I be doing anything else for her? I love this girl. She's a spitfire, but I love her and would hate to have anything go wrong.

Sometimes females will drop a slug before the full clutch. Pacing the tub means she's probably close and repositioning the eggs in the oviduct. Give her some time and re-check. From what I've seen most females tend to lay late at night when things are quiet.

Leave her alone don't startle her and give her 48 to 72 hours and if she has not passed her eggs at that time make an appointment with a vet, the next eggs might need to be aspired or the eggs may need to be chirurgically removed depending on your vet's findings (twisted uterus or stuck to the uterus lining for exemple)
