    BP tongue not bright pink
I noticed that my normal male ball python's tongue isn't nearly as bright pinkish as my BEL. It's darker on top than on the bottom but the inside of his mouth do not look discolored when he yawns. Is this any need for concern? I know you can tell a lot about human health by looking at the tongue. I am unsure about snakes.

That's normal...your normal male has some melanin in his tongue, whereas your BEL does not, so it looks brighter pink. Same blood flow, just no pigment to hide behind.;)

When my BP was sick her tongue went from pink to red. When she was healthy it went back to pink. Just make sure your snake is healthy and has no signs of being sick and im sure hes fine.
