    Juvenile BCI Feeding
Hi everyone! My juvenile BCI is currently eating one hopper mouse weekly (she weighs 96 grams as of now and she was born in 2019). I was wondering when I should start feeding her less frequently and if anyone has advice on that.

Once she's big enough to eat a small mouse you could probably push her out to a ten day schedule.

What bcr229 said. In general, larger prey items = larger gaps between feedings. Your boa should be ready to move up to small mice when the hopper mice stop leaving a bulge.

Regardless of prey item, you may want to move your boa to a 10-14 day feeding schedule anyway. Boas' bodies radically change when they eat -- their hearts enlarge, their digestive system comes "online" from a resting state, etc. -- and it takes about 14 days for their bodies to return to their resting state afterwards. Boas' bodies need to be able to return to the resting state for good health, which doesn't really happen when you're feeding once a week. At least one breeder I know has their baby BCIs on a 14 day feeding schedule and they're all ship-shape and healthy. As long as your boa maintains good body condition (ie. they're square), you should be fine to space feedings out a bit more.

I moved my boas to a 10-14 day feeding schedule once they were on weaned rats.
