Is my BPs weight good?

Hi, My 1.5 year old Ball python has not eaten in nearly 4 months and I'm getting worried. I bought a scale and he is 660 grams. I'm going to keep weighing him but right now I wanted to get an opinion if he looks good or not physically. I've also tried almost anything for him to eat including at 1 am but he doesn't want the rat. Should I go back to mice to see if he will take it? He looks to be in healthy shape to me.

I'd stick to rats if it were me. What size rats is he on?
How often are you offering?

I wouldn't bother offering more often than every two weeks.

I'm offering weaned rats every week

Ok, I would just start waiting at least two weeks before offering.

And if you're handling him much it would be best to hold off on handling til he's eating again.

At what point do you think I should visit a vet if he keeps refusing?

Unless he starts losing weight, snakes can go 6-8 months, sometimes even longer without eating and be perfectly fine.

He looks healthy to me but I know how stressful hunger strikes can be -- our 12 yo Normal didn't eat for 6 months during the winter and I was worried the entire time (he is eating again and fine). Curious if you're offering f/t or live and if anything has changed about his enclosure since the last time he ate?

Yea, I switched him from a 20 gallon to a 40 gallon as he outgrew it but I remember him not eating before that change. I offer f/t to him.

Looks like a fine boi to me!

It’s normal for them to fast, I’d recommend offering food every month from here on out and staying with rats.

Looks good! I also have a 1.5 year old ball python that eats every week and he basically looks the same as yours.
