Van Dyk3's Salamander in captivity

(I'm using 3s because the name will get censored). I have a friend who's INSISTING on keeping a wild caught salamander even though I keep advising her not to. The next best thing I can do is explain how to properly care for salamanders in captivity, but I'm not good with salamanders. This salamander is native to Southern Washington (where we live), so care for salamanders similar to Van Dyk3's would be really helpful. I don't want this salamander to die so please help.
