Moldy egg, need some help

I checked in on one of my clutches and I have an egg that's moldy, how do I prevent it from spreading to the others?

This was the only clutch I have that couldnt be separated as they were stuck together too much and I didn't want to risk tearing them. Will the other eggs be ok?

Man, I went and searched YouTube for videos for you for like a half an hour because I want to help you but I have absolutely ZERO breeding experience. Usually I can find something on channels like Chris Hardwick or Predator BP. There are some videos that I found on moldy eggs but none on moldy eggs stuck to a clutch. Did you get it Unstuck (if that is even a word....)?

I am interested in what people have to say here. I wonder if you could use a razor blade and cut the bad away leaving a small piece of it so you don't damage the others.

You do nothing.

Mold from this egg will not spread to other healthy eggs.

While you can remove a moldy egg when not attached once it is you are taken an unecessary rish trying to do so.

Eggs can only be easily detached within hours of being laid or 2 to 3 days before hatching.

Here is a pic of eggs that are full terms and about to pip as you can see 2 eggs died during incubation and started to mold, obviously they could not be removed safely so they stayed there.

Nothing was spread or added to the other eggs.

Its happened to me several times over the years as well. You're right given its 30+ days, do not try to pry them apart, as you said, you risk tearing the good eggs. But there is risk the mold could move. So my suggestion is coat everybody including the bad egg with some Dr Scholl's anti-fungal foot powder. Its harmless to the eggs and does a great job of eliminating mold. FYI, as a practice I do the same with "every" new clutch, coat all eggs with the powder. Its largely eliminated any mold issues. Thank you all for the advice, I didn't try pulling it apart, I just left it be. The others look great and it shows no sign of spreading but I may try the antifungal powder

I had one go bad last year in a cluster of 7 about two weeks in. After a ton of research I did the do nothing method as Deb said, all remaining eggs went full term without any mold spreading and all hatched healthy babies. I remember reading that healthy eggs have a natural resistance to mold and the ones that mold are typically dead already or have something wrong with them. The healthy eggs don't normally mold even with a moldy egg right up on them and from my experience this proved true.

I left it alone, I just check it often to make sure its wo not spreading (which I'm sure it won't) just to be safe lol I love not having to open the incubator to check on them now, the glass front makes it easy to keep an eye on them and the temps [emoji16]

Also, first clutch is almost due to hatch! Roughly 12 days until I see pips! All were laid 4-6 days after each other so Junes going to be an exciting month!
