Large snake skins found in Virginia home
Well I've never found snakes in my attic, maybe because I have no snake food in my attic

I have found stupid wasps though.

If there’s anything worse than finding a large snake in the house, it’s the anxiety of finding just the skin it shed.

    Where is the snake?

That’s what a homeowner in Richmond, Virginia, has been asking for nearly two weeks, after a wildlife trapper discovered not one, but two large snake skins in their attic during an inspection.

Many houses are sieves, permitting rodents and the snakes that eat them to enter/leave at will.

Probably a black rat snake. I know around here they can get pretty big/long. Plus sheds aren't a great indicator of length as they stretch through the removal and drying process - so I would imagine this snake is not quite that long though still impressive.

As stated above... I'd be more concerned about a rodent problem than I would about the snake. It's obviously eating very well!

I knew from the pics & before reading that it's likely just black rat snakes & those ppl should be GRATEFUL for the help to exterminate rodents, lol. I hope they don't
harm the snakes in any way & they should consider themselves lucky.

Worse would be under a house in an 18" crawspace. On your back when three snakes fall out of the insulation. I think my boss took out six cinder blocks getting out. He was in the truck going down the road before he thought about the dumb kid still under the house :O Snakes in or under a house is no biggie. Now, spiders an webs in the dark:colbert:

Old timers use to catch an put large blacks snakes under the house. To keep the rats out:snake:

I only do jigs when I walk face-first into spider webs...they're all over the place here, even dangling from the tallest trees. I swear these spiders even try to catch my
CAR! They put up their nets across my 2-car driveway sometimes...:rofl:I sure HOPE I never seen one big enough to eat a car...:O
