    Wound(?) After stuck shed removed
Hi all. Yesterday my young bp shed, but he still had some stuck shed, which i used the damp towel trick to help remove. I managed to remove it just fine and have since adjusted my husbandry, but after removing the shed I noticed a small mark, almost an indent, under where the stuck shed was.

Is this something I should be worried about? I know im probably overreacting, but hes my first ever reptile and I want to make sure hes comfortable.

Looks like he might have lost a scale. I don't think they grow back, but otherwise he should be fine. Just clean the area with the missing scale, make sure there are no signs of infection, and keep the humidity higher in the future.

Actually the scales can grow back after a few sheds.

His stuck shed was due to a minor injury there that had a scab; it's typical for such a thing to come off with each shed, but it's small enough that hopefully it won't be
noticeable forever. It's not rare for snakes to rub their heads when pushing on the tops of their enclosures, for example, or something abrasive in their furnishings, &
some BPs are left with noticeable pinkish-white "bald spots" on top of their heads from rubbing...the scales may not come back all the way, especially if it's larger.
