    Slow Growth Rate?
Hi guys, I have a male Coral Glow Genetic Stripe BP. When I got him in January he was about a year old and 422 grams. In the 5 months that I've had him he has only gained 46 grams. Does this seem like an okay growth rate?

What's your feeding schedule and prey size?

46 grams in 5 months is slow but again it depends on weather or not the animal is fed appropriately and how you go about weighing the animal, if you first weigh on full and than empty your measurements will never be accurate.

Best is to focus on body proportions and proper feeding rather than number.

I feed him a weanling rat every two weeks, it puts a small lump in his belly. He looks very healthy and his body is very firm, so im not concerned about his health, just thought it's weird how slow he's growing.

You could increase his feeding to once per week and it wouldn't hurt. But they grow when the grow, I got a pair of sisters one at 1000 grams and the other over 1800 grams. Both offered the same just one never refuses.
