When to switch to bigger prey?
I’m wondering if anyone can give me a ballpark idea on how often they moved up in rat sizes for a ball python under a year old. My girl is on weaned right now and has about 10-12 left. I’m going to place an order on Perfect Prey in a couple weeks and I’m wondering if it would be a waste to get some more weaned because they come in packs of 15. I feel like she’ll be ready for small rats soon but I don’t want to be left with only small rats and her not be ready.
I size her food based on her width, I haven’t had any luck weighing her because she moves so much. Hoping to get an accurate weight before I place the order but I appreciate any input.
