    New Owner :) help
Hi, I recently got a male baby bp and I’ve been having problems with feeding. The first feeding was last Wednesday and he wouldn’t eat so I waited 5 days. On Monday it took me 2 hours to finally get him to eat. I didn’t want to stress him out but he hadn’t eaten since before I got him (2 weeks ago). I feed frozen/thawed but I just found out that he was being fed live and maybe why it took so long to feed. I had to keep warming the mouse up with a hair dryer..lol. He kept striking at it but he would either miss or not grab on to it. The only reason I didn’t stop and wait a another day is because he seemed hungry. He finally grabbed the mouse and I’ve left him since then. I don’t know if it’s because he’s in a new environment but he always seems like he wants to bite me every time he sees me. His humidity and temp are fine and he’s in a separate room by himself so there’s no reason for him to be stressed other than being in a new place. (Sorry this is so long) Am I doing anything wrong?? Advice?? Thank you :)

    Hi,

Reading your post everything in his husbandry has changed.

New enclosure, new type of prey and new status of prey from live to F/T.

Either one of those has been known to cause refusals so I wouldn't be worried ( especially as he has eaten ).

Just do your best to reduce stress like no handling or sitting staring at him ( hard to do with a new pet I know :) )

Wait 5 - 7 days and offer his next meal the same way.
