    Ball python hacking
My ball python was making loud hacking noises with his mouth open and kinking up his body. It just lasted a few seconds and now he’s exploring his tank like usual. Ive never heard him do this and he hasn’t ate in like two weeks soooooo idk what it could be..I thought he was having a seizure. Scared me

Snakes cannot really cough but if you're sure the sound came from his mouth, it sounds like he might have been trying to barf up something. On the other hand, some
keepers have been royally surprised when their BP farts loudly, so maybe that's what you heard, but why his mouth was open? only your snake knows for sure. Maybe
he was trying to scream out a warning to you...? Seriously, I'd keep an eye on him...hopefully nothing's wrong. Maybe he drank water & it "went down wrong"? :confusd:

Weird... it is definitely possible he was passing gas through the other end though as BPs are known to fart with their mouths open... for some reason.

I once encountered something similar to what you described with my BP, heard him making sounds like "ack ack ack" (except without the vowel sound) after feeding one night and saw him sort of rearing his head up and down with his mouth open in his hide. I lifted his hide to look and found that he had a small wood chip stuck in his mouth next to his glottis. As I was looking, the wood chip fell out and my BP went back to normal. Not sure if something like that might have happened with your snake?
